Description
NGC 3576, also known as the Statue of Liberty Nebula, is a star-forming region located in the Southern constellation of Carina, roughly between the Grand Carina Nebula and Running Chicken Nebula.
This image was taken from a light polluted city using narrowband filters. The colours seen in this image are not true colours, but is mapped based on the elemental compositions (Sulfur, Hydrogen and Oxygen) present.
