Where Stars are Born
The story of a star’s life begins here. Within these colourful clouds of gas and dust, stars are born. These star forming regions are rich in the raw materials through which stars are formed. These star forming regions are known as nebulae, which is Latin for “cloud” due to their fuzzy appearance. Not all nebulae are star-forming regions, however, as we shall also see in chapter 3.
